I thought that her character was very sad...she never deserved to be created and didnt quite ever have an identity because they never really knew what she was.

I thought that it wasn't so much she should never have been created, but rather her creators didn't know when to handle her and care for her, and when to let her discover herself. I can agree with the whole thing of her not really having an identity.
